Challenge With 7 years of reliable IT service and increasing recognition, Bulldog Data Services was in need of a mark that symbolized strength and quality. When they sought out the rebranding expertise of Skybox Creative, Bulldog Data Services had a playful bulldog cartoon as their icon. This, paired with a highly illustrated website, was not the right reflection of the growing company. A brand overhaul was needed. Our client wanted to maintain the bulldog symbol, while avoiding an overly dominant or overpowering image.
Solution Skybox Creative was eager to catapult the brand to a new level of professionalism. In order to create a timeless iconic symbol, many options were explored. Starting with the bulldog mark, a variety of illustration styles were presented as well as several color palettes suited for the target demographic, small businesses and enterprises. A sleek and refined color palette was chosen combining a muted tan with black, accented on web and print materials with a metallic blue. This unique color combination and undeniably recognizable emblem gives Bulldog a leg up on the competition.
