Challenge PPI was established in 1994 and since has become a leader in the power supply sector of in-flight entertainment. Stuck with a fragmented brand image and color palette, PPI was ready for an upgrade.
Solution Skybox quickly noticed how recognizable the PPI icon was and saw the potential in its base structure. Its outdated color palette and distracting outer frame were the first elements to go. It was important that the new color palette and visual speak "technology" without words. A vibrant blue coupled with the strength of black became the PPI stamp. Colors that are innovative, contemporary and cerebral. In their previous web presence and print materials, there were circuit boards galore, but no visual reference to their specialty or industry. By introducing airplane + in-flight television imagery, the potential client will quickly identify and relate to PPI. With clients such as Boeing and Panasonic, PPI earned their bragging rights. Skybox showcased these logos as a prominent image on the website home page (flash) to reinforce credibility and trust. From logo design to print materials, web and trade show, PPI now displays brand consistency and professionalism.
Results With a 15 year history of quality + innovation, PPI now has a brand image to match. They have since updated their signage, wall color, uniforms and decor throughout their facilities to match their brand. Although dramatic changes were made, Skybox was able to build on their previously established brand recognition by maintaining their base logo image. They are receiving a bevy of positive feedback from existing clientele as well as new potentials.
