From naming to logo development, product design, packaging design, vendor coordination and more, Skybox Creative assisted in the making the product launch a reality.

A pre-NAB celebration at Vigor Systems Inc. allowed the team to revel our combined hard work. The team even had an Advertio™ cake made to have a little fun! Our client is attending NAB Las Vegas this week to roll out the new products to potential clients.

Android Winning the Smart Phone Race, Nielson Says

There’s stiff competition in the smartphone race. The Nielson Company conducted a research study to find out who’s coming out on top. So, who is winning the smartphone race? Well that depends on whether your looking at manufacturers or operating systems.

In a report released by Nielson yesterday, Thursday March 3, 2011 – looking at consumer marketshare by operating system, Android (HTC), accounting for 29% of all smart phones, seems to be winning over RIM Blackberry, with 27%, and Apple iOS, also at 27%.

An analysis by manufacturer shows Blackberry (RIM) and Apple (iOS) are the winners compared to other manufacturers since they are the only smartphones that are sold with their respective operating systems. Only 12% of smartphone owners have an HTC Android device and 7% own an HTC device that runs a Microsoft OS. 10% of smartphone owners have a Motorola Android device and 1% own a Motorola device that runs on a Microsoft OS.

The Nielsen study also investigated the age groups of smartphone users in the United States and noticed that people ages 18 – 24 yrs. were more likely to adopt the Google Android platform. People in the age group of 25 – 34 seemed to be more evenly split when deciding which smartphone to purchase, equally gravitating towards Android, Apple iOS and Blackberry, see graphic below.

Skybox Creative Launches ChinaTel Group ($217M) Website

ChinaTel Group Inc. Skybox Creative was responsible for the entire re-branding, including a logo re-design, print collateral materials and web design. A dynamic Flash presentation and Javascript maps were created to for an interactive user experience throughout the site. Organized by an easy-to-navigate information architecture, the new website provides a wealth of information, news, video and highlights on some of ChinaTel’s biggest projects across the globe. An advanced, up-to-the-minute quote calculator was included using a tool provided by QuoteMedia. Streaming video was added through the company’s Vimeo account as well as links to all social media profiles, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The ChinaTel website is equipped with up all the advanced features to elevate the company’s brand position.

Operating as a $217M company (Market Cap 4/30/10) currently building and operating vast networks in parts of Asia and South America, ChinaTel is committed to the growth of telecommunication and wireless broadband providing service to growing communities around the world. Viva Las Vegas at NAB Show

One of our clients, Vigor Systems, was recently an attendee at the National Association of Broadcasters Show in lavish Las Vegas, Nevada.

More than just broadcasting, the NAB Show‚Ñ¢ is attended by leading media, entertainment and communications professionals who share a passion for delivering the next generation of audio, video, and filmed content across multiple platforms ‚Äì from televisions, radios and computers to phones, the big screen and beyond.

Amidst all of the giant plasma screens, graphic and web design (Skybox Creative’s niche) were showcased as important elements supporting the latest and greatest in broadcasting and technology. Digital Production BuZZ, NAB’s team who provided live radio coverage, interviews and podcasts, saw their show producer Cirina Catania win an Inky Award for her work getting the event’s information and breaking news out to the masses.
